Caithness glass handcrafted special moments paper weights Dove

Caithness Glass based in Scotland is renowned throughout the world for high quality paperweights and artglass, in both traditional and more abstract designs.

This beautiful Dove Paperweight from the Special Moments collection has a circular design with a flat bottom on which it stands and a flat face on top so that the dove design can be clearly seen. The dove is created from sand using a dove shaped metal crimp into which sand is melted onto the end of the glass and pushed onto the crimp thereby creating a lovely 3D effect which can be seen through the side of the paperweight. Grey coloured glass chips are then melted onto the back to give the lovely frosted design behind the dove.
